Ever listen t0 the musical Avenue Q? Its a great new musical, starring muppets, with songs like The Internet is for Porn, If you were Gay and It Sucks to be Me. The Latter song, It SUcks to be Me, is pretty descriptive of my day. It started out ok. I am here in Jersey, and spent the day with my darling JoeJoeBear. I left around 4, because its my dad's birthday. I wanted to see him on his bday and give him his birthday present. Well, I drove till about New Brunswick (a little over an hour) when my car started acting really funny. The need engine coolant light came on. I stopped and filled up the coolant, but about 2 miles later the light came back on. I decided it would be best to get off the turnpike and call my Joe Joe Bear as well as my parents, to see how I should proceed. I am car-retarded, and have no idea what to do in problem situations. So, I pay the toll, and proceed to the off ramp, but my car begins to overheat. So, instead of melting my engine (which i have done before) I stopped my car, let it run with the heat on, and allowed it to cool off. But I was basically stuck on the exit ramp of a big huge scary hiway. yuck. I called JoeJoeBear, who was super supportive and told me to stay there and he would come to my rescue. Then I decided to call mom and dad to find out what to do. Dad is a car guy, so he knows what to do and not do with them. Well, Mom and dad were freaks!! i asked mom what to do and she started freaking over whether my iol was changed this month. HELLLLO!! It was not my oil that was leaking, it was the antifreeze!! Even if I had gone this week to Jiffy Lube, all they due is check the oil, not make sure all the hoses to my radiator are in tact.....
soooooo, I finally got the nerve to get off the exit ramp. it was long and windy, so i really wasnt sure how far I would get. But alas, I made it off the exit ramp and onto a little side street, where a nice man/mechanic, checked out my car. He thinks the hose to the water pump might be broken. Lets cross our fingers he is right. He sent me to a garage really close to his house, and my car is spending the night there. Hopefully, the get a chance to check it out early tomorrow. Also, hopefully its not toooo expensive to fix. In the mean time, I want a new car. I think its about time I get one. This is just the straw to break the camels back pushing me into buying a new car...
ANyhow, I am stuck at JoeJoeBears house until my car is done.... wooo hoooo. Tho I really did want to work tomorrow.... I need the money, and i hate calling in, especially since I have only been there a few weeks... Hopefully they will understand tho, because this is really out of my control.... If it is gonna take a few days, I may be forced to take a bus up to MA, but I am hoping it is just a minor problem that can be fixed real fast.....
