I went to court today!!!! Yay! It was really fun. I don't think it was really what I expected... no judge, no jury, no big speeches or cross examination. Today I actually did a pretrial conference, where you basically meet with your adversary and discuss everything that needs to be done in the matter, try to settle, or pick a trial date. So thats what I did! It was really neat. I get to go to another tomorrow. I think they are gonna be sending me to court a lot. Thats fine with me. I would rather be busy because work goes by faster this way. It hasn't really set in that I am a really lawyer yet!!!! Soooo, now you all have to call me "Princess Kelly Esquire!"

Its monday at like 6 am. I am getting sworn in today. My parents are being complete freaks about it. First, they invited themselves, so I dont really even care if the come, quite honestly. The ceremony is at 9 in Fanueil hall somewhere, where, I do not know exactly. All the paper said was an address in Fanueil hall. My parents freaked out that I do not know the exact location of the ceremony. Next, I told them I cannot be late and I wanted to leave BY 7. They freaked out about that. Boston doesnt take that long to get to!!!!!! UMMM hello, its a monday morning, there is rush hour traffic in the morning and I have to go downtown, not to BU where my parents drive. Theeeeen, it was, we dont want to walk far, there better be parking right there! Argf!! If it is such a hassel, please, dont come. Dont do me any favors. I did not invite you, you invited yourselves. Its easier for me to go alone, because I do not have to deal with your stupid little baby fits that you put on. ARGF! I feel like I am the parent and my parents are both in middle school sometimes. I think they work at being as difficult as possible!!!

Tomorrow is my 2 year anniversary with Joe Joe Bear!!! EEEK! I am so excited. I think we aqre gonna celebrate tonite, by going out for a nice dinner and exchanging presents. Hes excited about giving me presents!!!! I wonder what they could be?

I started work this week at my REAL job!!! How scary is that! I love it!!! I have my own office, with a door!! And I have a nice big wooden desk (JoeJoe Bear asked me what kind of wood, but I really have no clue). And my office is in the perfect location. Its in Central Square, right off the red line. And we are on the 11th floor, with a great view. AND I HAVE WINDOWS!!!!!!

I didn't really have to do much this week. They are easing me in slowly!
Every one is soooo sooo nice there. One of the attorneys looks exactly like Ben Affleck. I love Ben, so when I saw him, I was really left speechless. How often does one of your bosses look like your favorite celebrity's identical twin?!?

I get sworn in as a lawyer on Monday. On Tuesday, they are sending me to court. Thats a little scary, but hopefully I will be ok. It won't be a murder trial or anything like that!!!! Wish me luck!!!!

Today was my last day of opening mail. Gosh, I sure will miss Ultra!!! Hahaha! Not!!!!! It really was a great job. I had no responsibility whatsoever. Yikes. Now tomorrow I get to play lawyer!! Yay!!!!! I am trying to decide whether I should drive in or take the train. I was gonna take the train, it leaves at 7:19 and gets to South Station at 8:23. And my new job is on the red line, so I should make it with plenty of time to spare. But I think it will cost more for me to take the train! Its like 6 dollars each way, 2 dollars for parking and 1.25 each was for the t. Thats like 15 plus a day to commute! EEEEK! I may just take the train tomorrow until they have my parking all set up, because parking in Cambridge is not fun. Yuck. But I will have my own space, so it will make driving in a little more bearable. Anyhow, I will let you know how the whole job thing goes!!!!

I am really excited! I went for my interview yesterday, and they hired me on the spot!! Yay!!!! No more opening mail for me! I am onto bigger an better things. Tho I will sure miss Ultrasucks....

So, my job is with a small law firm in Cambridge. It is a general practice firm, mostly personal injury, some criminal, and a little bit of everything else. I start Wednesday. I get sworn in next monday, and on tuesday, they are sending me to court!!! YIKES!

They seem really cool and laid back. Basically, if I don't have to be in court, I can come in when I want and leave when I want. Yay. So I may try to work from 10 to 6 to avoid the yucky traffic driving in from Grafton. We'll see though!!!!

Yay, I am going to be a real lawyer with a real lawyer job in just about a week!!!!

I have an interview tomorrow!! Its for a law firm in Cambridge. Hopefully it goes well. I spoke to the attorney that is interviewing me, and he seemed really nice. He said that they are really laid back and its fine if I want to come in at 10 and leave at 3. Hahahaha. Keep your fingers crossed!! I shouldn't get too excited tho. Who knows, I could end up hating it. I just really really want a new job. I hate opening mail. Its really really boring. I didnt fo to 7 years of college to open mail, so i really hope I find a real job soon, even if the interview tomorrow doesnt work out!!!!
