On the way down to NJ fri night, piggy started crying and crying. then it smelled like urine. i figured he had an accident. well, we gave him a bath and cleaned him off. He kept going to the litter box after that, and a few hours later, we noticed drops of blood in the litter box. he kept trying to pee, but all that would come out was blood. I was worried and Joe and I kept waking up throughout the night, expecting to find a kitty corpse. i was scared out of my mind.

The next day, we didnt see any blood, so we went to AC. Salena was at Joe's house, so i made her check on my kitty to make sure he was ok. When we got home, I still don't think he peed. I called the animal hospital in PHL and they told me it was prolly a urinary tract infection. they basically said, don't worry, unless u see nothing coming out, then its an emergency. call the vet, and schedule an appointment.

well sunday, i called my vet in nj. he's only open mon through sat. so i couldnt get an appointment there. i dont have a vet in ma. i havent needed one. so i havent found one. i asked my mom for her vet for trot nixon, our puppy, and she gave me his info. problem? cant see piggy till weds, and the latest appointment is 5:30. my mom said she would take him, but she wont put him in the cage bc she WONT TOUCH MY CAT!!!!! I asked my boss for his vet, which he gave me the info, but they were closed at 5 when i got a chance to call. errrrr. so i did call tufts, and they said appointments are 10-2, and to go to the emergency room is $140.00 base fee, not counting anything that is done, and a urinalisis most likely will need to be done. Luckily, piggy has started peeing normally again. YAY! so, i know he can at least empty himself. I technically have an appointment for weds at 4:00 with my puppys vet, but I dont know how my kitty will get there. I am worried sick that he is in pain, even though he seems to be back to normal. and i dont want any possible infection to get worse.
so if anyone near worcester has a good vet that is open at night, i would appreciate it if you passed on the info.
