Saturday was a busy busy day. Betty and I had planned to go yard saling, but when I woke up to a downpour at 8 a.m., I curled back up and went to sleep. I awoke at 1, with my fone ringing. Betty was near g-town, and asked me if I wanted to go to BJ's. Sure, I said, and through on some sweats, put my hair in a messy ponytail and washed the mascara off of my face that I failed to get off the night before. (I NEVER go anywhere without showering, so this was a big step for me!!!) We went to BJ's and Betty got a bunch of stuff on her shopping list. I got a bulk package of pad thai mix. Joe loves to make thai food, but we cant actually find a recipe for Pad Thai that doesnt start with "Use a pad thai mix". all the ones we've tried are pretty bad, so it would be fantastic if I found a good one!!! After BJ's, we headed to Home goods and looked around. Betty bought a few things. I behaved myself. at least there I did. Off next to Marshall's where I did cave in!! I found really cute fondue dishes for $4.99!!! I was wicked excited. I also got a pretty bottle of oil, with a yummy recipe on it, and some placemats for my kitchen!!! After Marshall's Betty brought me home, where I cleaned myself up and did some packing.
At 8:30, I headed to Betty's house, and was greeted in the parking lot by her husband. he got out of work early, so he was gonna go out for sushi with us!!! MMMM. we went to the Sole, in Worcester, where we had calamari, sushi and some pomegranite cosmos. I used to really like cosmos, but in my old age, i have a real hard time downing the vodka. Its a little strong for me, and I think I need to start drinking girlier wuss drinks. Betty and I actually watered our cosmos down in order to drink them!!!!
