Last night, I went ot see the Ben Folds Concert. we got there, parked near the trade center in boston (joe started hyperventilating bc thats where the bar was just about 1 week ago). I had to pee, so we used the seaport hotel. wee basically stepped out of the seaport, and it started DOWNPOURING on us. luckily we brought ponchos, because at that point it was only about 6:30, and the concert was supposed to start at 87:30 ( I neglected to look at the tickets and thought it was a 7:00 showtime). so, we walk to the place in the pouring rain (by place, i have bno effing clue what it is called. it used to be harbor lights, the bank boston pavilion, and who knows what else). So we get there, and there is an awning, with a line forming of people who wanna get in. wouldn't you know it, the very end of the line is just outside the protection of the awning. sooooo, wet wet wet we got. it was alright tho. the rain finally stopped, and we went in, to look for our seats.

Now, our seats, thats the next hoot. We had concourse b, t6 seats. what that meant, i had no clue when i ordered them. welllll, tghe pavillion has random tables of seats towards the back. where the lawn would be in great woods. and that was apparently what i bought for seats. oops. they actually were pretty good tho, because we were a little higher, and in the very front of the table section. ok, so we are sitting at our table, and this group of about 40 annoying teenagers from a summer camp come and crowd at the 2 tables next to us. by crowd, i mean look like sardines, definately a fire hazard. and they sat there chanting random shit, being just about as annoying as humanly possible. they did this straight through ben lee, the opener (who was really good, chill, but definately good) at the elnd of bnen, so ushers came, seperated the annoying teenagers, and told them to go to their own seats. much less annoying.

so, we see my lil brother not to far ahead, so i text him, stand up and turn around. he does that, and comes over and chats with us. he was there with 2 girls. what exactly happened to seth and the others, i will never ever know.

So finally Ben Folds started. He's so effing kickass. i love him, and he was just as awesome as I expected. two bad things tho. since it was an outside concert, the acoustics SUCKED, so it definately did not do his piano playing justice. a lot of times you couldnt hear the piono. but he was awesome. second, he was touring with another guy, and only played like 6-7 songs!! so i felt a little jipped when he finished. i (and most of the audiance) was definately there to see ben, not rufus wrainwright.

so ben ended, and we figured we would stick around for rufus, to see how it was. well, i hated him and so did joe. we did get a good laff off his lisp! "Hey Bopsthton. it's FABULOUTH to be here". ummmm. well we left during his third song, beat all the traffic out, and got some dinner at kfc taco bell (real healthy at 10:00 at night.

Then, we decided neither of us were tired, so we watched the aviator. i had really mixed feelings. i thought leo did an awesome job with the charachter itself. but the movie was way too long, and it didnt really go anywhere, and i was bored and wanted either it to end, or more planes to crash. i mean, it was a neat story, but nearly 3 hours about a guy who designs planes and is ocd was a little much. even if my man leo was the guy. he did get nekked, which was pretty yummy tho!!

so that was my fri night, rocking the suburbs!!
