1. How has Katrina affected you? well... it hasn't directly affected me, other than my wallet by driving up gas prices. but, New Orleans is one of my favorite places on earth. i was there for memorial day weekend. its now labor day weekend, and the whole city is in ruins. its weird, because it is one of those places i thought would always be there. i was actually thinking about planning a trip there soon.... seeeing the people there upsets me. they are great people, warm and frieldly. they didnt deserve this. i am upset with our country, with our leader and our government. it is really effed that this country can supply aid to otehr countries within hours of a distarter, that we can spend billions of dollars on a war we don't belong in, and that the releif for a tsunami in southeast asia began immediately, but when something happens in our own country, it takes nearly 5 days for supplies to be deployed and people are still trapped in disgusting conditions. it really upsets me that our leaders care that little to help our people. and i wonder. i winder if this is racially based, that new orleans has gotten so little aid over the past week because the makeup of the city is primarily creole, and black. and it disgusts me. that more has not been done by our government to help those people.

2. What is your favorite charity? Do you contribute to it, or any other, when a disaster the magnitude of Hurricane Katrina happens? hmmm, well the jimmy fund is a good one. I try to give to ones that will help people in general, for cancer or aids research. or to save animals. givign to shelters or save the whales. when something like katrina happens, i try to give, if i can, or i find a way that i can give my time (if i can't afford the money) to give to the cause.

3. What do you want more or less of in life so that you can enjoy life? (money doesn't count) i am pretty content. i enjoy each and every day. i can't imagine anything else that would make my life much better.

4. It's a rainy Sunday. What do you do with your day? put on rAin boots and splash around in the puddles. then call my girlies and go shopping. come home, curl up on the coach with some tea and a blanket and watch tv

5. Jimbo is almost agreeable to adopting two cats. What should we name them? awwwww. thats really a hard question without seeing the cats first. u have to name them based on their personalities!!!

6. What was for dinner last night? sushi at the Sole. I had firecrackers and california rolls

7. What are your plans for the weekend? i took my parents out for dinner tonite. i am enjoying my car. ilove it. driving around with the top down everywhere.

8. What was the last thing you "splurged" on? (Thanks Liz!) my car, a brand new beetle convertible

9. Guilty pleasure at the moment? (Thanks Krista!) hmmmm. jello pudding pops. i love them, and they make me happy!
